40th Ward Aldermanic Forum Tuesday January 29th @ Amundsen High School, Lincoln Square

The League of Women Voters Chicago is holding a 40th Ward Aldermanic Forum Tuesday January 29th, 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Amundsen High School

Free Chicago Property Tax appeal seminar November 1st, 2018

Property Tax Appeal seminar on the North Side November 1st, 6:00pm. Information below!

Dear Neighbor,

Residents wishing to appeal their property taxes are welcome to join us Thursday, November 1, for a tax appeal workshop. Staff from the Cook County Board of Review will be on hand to answer questions and guide property owners through the appeal process.

Please note that Lakeview Township is open for review October 15 through November 13. Jefferson Township property owners are welcome to attend this workshop as well to pre-appeal their taxes. 

Attendees are asked to bring their 2nd installment property tax bill.

The workshop will take place at the 20th District Police Station, 5400 N. Lincoln Ave., (Community Room) and will begin at 6:00 pm.

40th Ward, 47th Ward web sites for North Side news

The 40th Ward and and 47th Ward alderman web sites are two great sources for North Side news in many neighborhoods of North Center, Lincoln Square and Edgewater.  As a Lincoln Square resident and real estate broker I often read the 40th and 47th Ward sites for official city news and community updates.  I also receive weekly e-newsletters from the 47th Ward office.

The 40th Ward is a particularly good news aggregate for city information.  The 47th Ward site lists many hyper-local events from schools, churches, restaurants, civic groups and retailers.  The two web sites are excellent sources if you live in the areas between West Irving Park Road to West Peterson and North Clark Street to the river.
