No water in the basement? Hmmmm...

Odd place for a squeegee.

When looking at home, we suggest due diligence in inspecting the basement, roof, windows and mechanicals among other factors surrounding the home. We help find tell-tale signs...like squeegees in the basement.

I would hope that even the most optimistic, naive buyer could tell this basement had some water damage. But I'm guessing you're talking about more subtle things to look for...got any more examples?

There is also a "stand pipe" in the background near the door... also known as "a poor man's flood control." Some streets are known for city sewer line back-ups.
We walk the block looking for new catch basins built in front of homes that house actual flood control systems to prevent city back-ups.
