Chicago brick bungalow houses within a few blocks of the university have sold for $200,000 to $425,000 in the last 12 months. Some small raised ranches have sold from $150,000 to $200,000. The lower of the price scale will get you a fairly original brick bungalow without a finished attic space or small raised ranch house. The $400,000 range will get you a relatively large home with finished second floor and modern updates.
