Taking drone video at Diversey Harbor, East Lakeview

I met my guy Spencer with Park West Media at Diversey Harbor to take new drone footage.  I use marketing that makes sense for each of our client properties.  Our latest East Lakeview listing at 330 West Diversey is near the harbor and lakefront parks.  I'm excited to see the footage of the harbor, Diversey Golf Range, tennis courts and running paths!

Bacinos has an awesome outdoor bar at Diversey Harbor.

330 West Diversey is surrounded by parks, statues and amenities.

Diversey Parkway closings, Yak-Zies closed... everything closed!

This is a great area to live but large construction projects are going to be the norm as the East Lincoln Park location redevelops. All photos Eric Rojas, Kale Realty
We were working down in East Lincoln Park yesterday and took a peek at some construction projects. The 508 W Diversey construction is causing requisite chaos along the ever changing landscape of West Diversey Parkway east of Clark Street in Lincoln Park / Lakeview.  The large structure also blocks the view of the attractive greystone building to it's immediate east. That greystone of course was home of the recently closed Yak-Zies bar. I don't know if the new construction projects influenced the closing of the long time tavern.

Building up Chicago has some real cool pics of the crane rig at the 508 W Diversey construction site.

The Hampdens condo project across the street (the cleared site shown above) is boasting 60% pre-sold on their advertising billboards.

Crazy! Yak-Zies greystone building hangs on amongst Lincoln Park development

Whoa! You can barely see the Yak-Zies sign and building now mushed between a new development on West Diversey Parkway and a vintage mid-rise in Lincoln Park. The hustle bustle blocks near the lake brace for new residential units (All photos Eric Rojas, Broker, Kale Realty)
We noticed construction at 508 W Diversey has reached 3 or 4 stories. As a server/ bartender in college (NEIU) I often visited the Yak-Zies on Diversey next door.  Fun Fact: Yak-Zies was the last stop of my bachelor party night. Today (and in the state I was that night), I might have trouble finding the building smashed behind a new 12 story apartment development at 508 West Diversey to the west and the historic Brewster Apartments to the east.

A closer look at 506 West Diversey Parkway building a couple years ago.
The median price of a condo within a two block radius of Yak-Zies and the new apartment development is $269,000. This price reflects a lot of small, vintage units available in the many existing original buildings and 1960s-1970s mid-rises. Condos can get very expensive in this area. 2715 N Pine Grove Ave Unit 3, Chicago, Illinois 60614 sold recently for $1,125,000. The 1997 built duplex-penthouse condo was listed at over 3,400 sq/ft yet did not have new finish level.

The West Diversey Parkway construction zone in Lincoln Park / Lake View

South side of 600 block of West Diversey, Lincoln Park. All photos Eric Rojas, Broker, Kale Realty unless otherwise stated
A popular retail and residential mixed corridor on Lincoln Park / Lake View border is in the midst of upheaval. This commercial strip (pictured above) that once housed a Starbucks on the 600 block of West Diversey Parkway is now demolished and cleared out.  It is part of a larger redevelopment of retail space at the corner of Clark and Diversey.  See plans here from the 43rd Ward web site.

The former Market Place lot on the 500 block of West Diversey is still vacant. Developers walked from the project a couple years ago.  No update has been posted to the 43rd Ward site at this time.

508 West Diversey construction

508 West Diversey on the same block is currently under construction. 56 residential units will mean more $$$$ for the throng of local business and will help keep this a vibrant location near the lake.
