Sales and rentals: The Marlborough in Lincoln Park

The Marlborough in Lincoln Park offers a New York City vintage feel inside and out. Overlooking parks and the lakefront on beautiful North Lakeview Avenue and West Deming Place, the classy location can't be beat.

Since 2006, the highest sales were $1,700,000 for a four beds, four plus baths 3700 sq/ft home in 2006 and $1,600,000 for a similar unit in 2007. There has not been a sale over $400K since 2007 recorded on our MLS.

The 1912 vintage residences offer a sophisticated lifestyle for many budgets. For the in-town, first time and empty nest buyers one and two bedroom units with one bath are currently priced from $129,000 to $365,000 (including a Nate Berkus designed unit). Recently a fully renovated two bedrooms, two baths unit was listed for $579,000 where you could "watch the sunrise over the lake". The listing expired.

Assessments range from $400-$600 and include the all important doorman and heat in addition to maintenance, common insurance, gas and water. There is no parking available on the property and dogs are not allowed.

Recent rentals have ranged from $1050-$1300 for one beds and 2100 and up for some two bedrooms, one baths units. Rents included heat, gas and air conditioning.
