Chicago is going to get yet another top notch luxury brand name. Crain's is reporting that Chicago mogul Sam Zell has purchased the Elysian Hotel and plans to convert into a Waldorf Astoria. We just wrote about (what appears to be) the final remaining developer condo sales at the Elysian Hotel and Private Residences here.
A Waldorf Astoria in Chicago's Gold Coast sounds all right with us. I'm sure the well known luxury brand name will be a boon to the residence owners as well.
