Lofts are back in West, South Loop

We've been heavy in South and West Loop lately with loft buyer clients. The city vignettes are endless in these parts.

Sold! Ravenswood contemporary closes for $700,000

We represented clients in the sale for 4425 N Paulina.  The home was under contract with a well qualified buyer after the first day on the market.  The house is unique contemporary style 1990 build for the location surrounded by several historic houses and buildings. It closed last week for $700,000.

I was taking some photos of land for sale and the scene down in East Lakeview around 3000 N Lake Shore Drive about two weeks ago.  I just happened to take a photo of this newer build house at 333 W Barry...a sublime location.  The house was built in 2008 and I took a few photos at that time as well.  The exterior, although appropriate for the location, tells you nothing of the masterpiece inside.

West Loop views for under $300,000


We took in the roof top views from a boutique building at 14 N Sangamon, West Loop
 
We were out with a first-time-buyer client in West Loop last week looking at condos under $300,000 (including a designated parking spot).  It's tough to get a great view from the unit at this price range, but it is possible to get some nice and interesting views from a common roof deck.
 
This particular modern West Loop home we showed was 2 beds (although open) and one bath.  It had a nice sized balcony with a decent view (actually) and a great private garage(!).  The smaller building was well run and had a large common rooftop deck. It was also a great location around the 900 block of West Madison...close to the action.  In our opinion, there are few quality options like this in the price range that offer several key features mentioned above.  Nice place.
