Modern new construction single family rises in Northcenter

Well, well well... what do we have here?

After leaving a new listing we have for sale in Roscoe Village this weekend, I caught a glimpse of this beauty. If you know me, you know I love modern homes that are designed to both fit in the scale of the landscape, yet make a statement. Heck, I'm a card carrying Dwell magazine subscriber!

Houses across the street look at the new guy.

What a cool way to represent the ubiquitous turn of the century wood siding (or updated aluminum siding) two flats and single family homes that dominate the landscape. But the comparisons end there... as the protruding front facade sticks its chin out and the home stretches way back on the lot adding square footage and design elements. The ally allows the passerby to see the whole structure come together!

The home is being built just north of the corner of North Seeley and West Addison in the Northcenter neighborhood. Please contact us if looking for a single family home or condo in this area. You will love the proximity to grocery stores, CTA Brown Line trains, Roscoe Village top flight dining, bars and shops and for Cub fans... walk to Wrigley!

This is my kind of house. I own a bugalow and looking into the same facade materials for a full dormer of my front portion attic (rear 70 percent is full dormered already and this material can be used on the entire second floor and front facia when we replace the roof and dormer siding).

There is another renovated, converted two-flat house on North Oakley in Ravenswood that I think used a similar material (although, may just be nice aluminum siding). I have the photo on the blog here:
